Renee started her career at Barry Swenson Builder in 1984 as a project coordinator. With her strong accomplishments, management skills, and knowledge of construction, she went on to become a project engineer, assistant project manager, and senior project manager within the Barry Swenson Builder Sana Cruz Office. Renee has an accomplished 30-plus year career, providing Project Management supervision and building contractor services within the construction industry. Kris Woolf - Vice President

With over 40 years of Construction experience, Mr. Woolf is conscientious and well-versed in all phases of Residential and Commercial construction.

Prior to joining LK Construction, Kris spent 29 years with Swenson Builders as Project Manager/Superintendent, completing many diversified construction projects.

Using his past experience building High-End Custom Homes, Housing Tracks, and Condominium Developments throughout the Bay Area and Southern California, Mr. Woolf has become a Team Leader who emphasizes quality workmanship and job site safety.

Mr. Woolf understands the importance of communication while dealing with multiple groups of people, technical information from Design Teams, Tenants, Business Owners, and Subcontractors - all while staying focused on a quality product and production schedules.

School Remodeling Projects

In 1998, Renee took a break from private construction and, in 2003, obtained a position with the San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District, where her knowledge and skills led to her becoming a Construction Manager for the District. During this time, she implemented the $18 million bond construction and matching state modernization funding for the remodel of four schools. During this phase of her career, she completed the school bond construction, and through her management skills, she was able to save the school district approximately $1.5 million to be used on additional upgrades within the schools as a part of the ongoing bond modernization. The bond modernization projects completed were:

Further Accomplishments – Barry Swenson Builder

In 2007, she rejoined Barry Swenson Builder again as a project manager. She provided construction management for Phase I of the remodel for the Santa Cruz Coast Hotel Project. During this construction phase, Renee and her team played the "Owner's Representative" role, providing construction management oversight, coordination review, and approval over the onsite LA-based General Contractor.

In 2008, Renee and her team were awarded the remodel of the Dream Inn (formerly Santa Cruz Coast Hotel) Aquarius Restaurant, basement offices, the addition of meeting space, and extensive site work.

In 2009, she and her team accepted Phase II-Weatherization of the Monterey Hotel project, 24 rooms, and an adjacent 18-unit apartment complex.

2010 found her and her team building a 13,000 sq. ft. two-story Library for San Lorenzo Valley Unified School District. This project was completed in December 2011, within budget and on time.

In 2011 she and her team at BSB completed the Campus Development for Driscoll Strawberry Associates – 4 office buildings and extensive site work.

Inception of LK Construction & Management

In the Summer of 2015, she started Coast Construction Management, and in the fall of 2016, she incorporated LK Construction and Management, Inc. providing full construction management services as the Owner's Representative for a 43,000 sq. ft. warehouse conversion in San Jose, the $2.6M first phase was completed in December 2015, and construction project management services for the Boulder Creek Fire Department.

Early 2016 saw the addition as ongoing construction manager for a local civil/water/environmental engineering firm (the project to commence in late fall of 2016), part-time construction manager for a 20-town home project in Scotts Valley, and a part-time construction manager for a developer on a 151 room hotel in Santa Cruz.
